  • Document Control Specialist

    Job Title:         Document Control Specialist
    Department:  Quality Assurance
    Reports to:     QA Director

    SUMMARY
    The Document Control Specialist is responsible for managing all written documents to ensuring storage, managing and track company documents.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Scan, image, organize and maintain documents.
    • Adhering to the company’s document lifecycle procedures.
    • Archive inactive records in accordance with the records retention schedule.
    • Control the retrieval of documents.
    • Process Requests for Information, or RFIs, from employees or clients and maintain the requests via  tracking logs.
    • As RFI procedures are updated, create new templates.
    • Help project managers develop and maintain documents such as meeting minutes, drawings, specifications, approvals and related items.
    • Responsible for training employees on records management procedures and policies, which include documentation, retention, retrieval, destruction and disaster recovery.
    • Assist with file migrations and audits, and perform administrative tasks as needed.

    • None

    QUALIFICATIONS

  • Freezer Production Supervisor

    Freezer Production Supervisor
    The McCall Farms Freezer Department is responsible for receiving quality raw products and properly preparing them to be frozen. These I.Q.F. frozen products are then packaged in totes as well as repacked, then shipped to customers as ordered. The Freezer Production Supervisor will directly supervise the team members responsible for compiling records and managing daily the data concerned with ordering, receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping for McCall Farms frozen products. This role will be responsible for planning, assigning, and directing the work of team members to safely and successfully perform daily responsibilities and meet established expectations for McCall Farms.

    Safety:
    The Supervisor is fully responsible for safety, manufacturing efficiencies and product quality/product safety; and includes implementing policies/procedures and upholding company policies. The supervisor will also be training and developing subordinates. While following all safety policies, this means:

    • Be cautious while walking in and around the Zero Degree Freezer, IQF and Repack
      areas due to possible ice buildup on floors
    • Be aware of the required limits of chemicals
    • Ensure all staff members are following all safety policies
    • Clean & sanitized food safe rubber gloves (utilizing hand dip stations and/or antibacterial
      soap and water required on finished frozen product and provided by company).
    • Sleeves (required on finished frozen product and provided by company)
    • Slip Resistant Shoes (suggested however; are not provided by the company)

    The Supervisor is responsible for overseeing safe use of equipment, organizing workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules, and checking production output according to specifications.

    Reports and Paperwork:
    The Supervisor is required to maintain minimal reports and paperwork as part of the position’s job requirement.  Some of the required paperwork and functions, but not limited to these only, are:

    • Daily Production Report

    • Raw Product Sheet

    Specific Daily Responsibilities:

    • Adheres to company policies and safety guidelines
    • Verifies that documents are correct and completes required paperwork
    • Verifies that department is set up to meet the labor standard specifications
    • Oversees set up of equipment at start up and monitors equipment during operations
    • Addresses adjustment to equipment and verifies equipment is operating within to process capabilities
    • Monitor employee performance, conduct performance reviews, and administer action records as needed
    • Safety: Conduct accident investigations and generates proper documentation
    • Perform work in a fast-paced environment and maintain production requirements
    • Maintain knowledge, understanding and adherence to safety to safety policies, USDA, GMP’s, QA, HACCP, Sanitation rules and regulations, and company policies
    • Work closely with inventory to make sure totes needed for repack production for following day is staged and ready
    • Research receiving errors and assist with inventory and records adjustments as needed.
    • Direct the allocation of materials, supplies, and finished products.
    • Design strategies to minimize the cost or time required to move goods.
    • Review the success of logistical functions and identify areas for improvement.
    • Present performance data to management.
    • Propose improvements to management and eliminate short shipping to customers.
    • Lead a team of storage/warehousing personnel through process of counting and recording inventory.
    • Responsible for actual inventory counts; must be knowledgeable about inventory items to be counted, the counting procedures used, and location of all inventories.
    • Design and manage SOP’s for Inventory Control
    • Coach, assess, evaluate, develop, motivate, and empower others.
    • Manage Cycle Counting program
    • Change MAS to SAGE MAS 500
    • Perform inventory cycle counts with the internal accounting department
    • Create and take necessary action to review slow moving inventory items
    • Coordinate with the QC/Accounting team to analyze and minimize inventory on hold
    • Prepare annual budgets for headcount needs
    • Create monthly reports to analyze inventory adjustments for management
    • Required to have at least intermediate excel skills and advanced excel skills preferred
    • Have experience working with outside auditors
    • 3-5 years of warehouse management experience required, a food processing environment preferred, to include manufacturing and distribution
    • Perform all other duties as assigned

    You will be asked by your Manager to perform collateral duties as needed. Collateral duties are various tasks unrelated and/or related to your job function. Also, you may be assigned to different work areas when needed, however; cross training will be provided prior to the assignment or at time of the assignment.

  • Maintenance Technicians

    Responsibilities for the Maintenance Technician include but are not limited to:

    • Safely performing the maintenance  tasks that are assigned to you using proper and correct tools.
    • Work in extreme temperatures.
    • Construct and assist in the designing of new equipment.
    • Assist in the general maintenance and preventative maintenance of equipment in the plant.
    • Work closely with Maintenance Manager to complete work orders and daily required task.
    • Cooperate in working the needed hours asked by management to meet production needs.
    • Follow the standard company rules listed in the McCall Farms handbook.

    Qualifications:

    • Pipe fitting.
    • General knowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment.
    • Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills are necessary.
    • Ability to set up machinery with close tolerances.
